Shirred Front V-Neck Top

1. This screen shows the settings I used to get the correct front armhole. This is before I rotated the bust dart to the center front. I will not use this back bodice piece or sleeve from this draft.

2. These settings are the same as above, except now the bust dart has been rotated to center front. The front armhole is still a nice shape and size.

3. This is the base for the back bodice I will use. There are no dart overrides or armhole clicks to distort it.

4. This is the "wonky" armhole I get with the dart override, before I start reshaping it with the armhole clicks and depth settings.

5. This is my "final" pattern. I will sew this in an unloved fabric as a test first. BTW, even though this is a knit, I'm using 1/2" seam allowances (except on the sleeves) because I need that 1/2" to sew on the shirring elastic at the bust. It's easier to leave it as 1/2" all around so I don't have to remember what's what. :-)

6. This is the pattern for the top with the center front cut on the fold. The gathering is along the pink areas only.
